I have no idea of Ahern's politics, to be honest.

Due to the fact I don't like any of them, and because I think it'd be really cool to have an Aussie-even if it was Howard-running the USA, I'm voting (for probably the only time ever) for Howard.

Hmm, I'd probably have to vote for Howard.  I like Blair's foreign polices, I wouldn't want his domestic ones.

I would probably vote Howard although I like Ahern alot. To answer your question Ahern is a centre-rightist alot like Howard but possibly more Economically Conservative. He has kept taxes very low and I think he has implemented a flat tax. He is also influenced by the liberal, in the European sense, Progressive Democrats. He is slightly protectionist in his trade policies while Socially he is Conservative. I believe he has maintained the Irish ban on Abortions.
