Considering that it's New York, when will we get some results?  Thursday? Wink

This district actually counted pretty fast in 2022

90% of the vote according to NYT. All of Niagara, a little remaining in Erie.

Timothy M. Kennedy (Dem) 68.5%

Gary Dickson (GOP) 31.5%

That's a Dem number 4.5% larger than in 2022, 6% larger than Biden's result. That's no doubt partially cause of a massive money advantage at work.

This is going to mess up all those Special Election spreadsheets, isn't it?

The only reason this election happened is because Higgins got bored and left.

to be fair, seeing the whole mess that's been going on in the house I don't blame him.

Looking at the lists, a 10 points overperformance over Biden has been the norm in blue districts since 2022.

Margin is actually 13% better than Biden/Trump, not 6%

He’s referring to the share of the vote Biden got

This result means next to nothing for November. Republicans are going to vote in much higher numbers than they did in this special election.

On the contrary, downballot Democrats are doing decently well for now. It's just Biden whom the voters don't like for some reason.

Yet you always predict the Democrat will lose.

Based on what? Your inane cheerleading for Republicans is tired and old. They are failing across the board and you refuse to acknowledge. Underperfomances like this are a bad sign for Republicans going into November because they show an enthusiasm gap.

Consider what Snow's reaction would have been if there had been a >10% Republican overperformance.

There’ll be a special election in NJ-10 to fill deceased Rep. Donald Payne, Jr.’s seat. Primary is July 16, general September 18. Democratic candidates so far include Newark City Council president LaMonica McIver (Ras Baraka protege) and former East Orange councilor Brittany Claybrooks (erstwhile Kim campaign official).

NJ-10 filing deadline is over, here’s the list of candidates: https://newjerseyglobe.com/congress/heres-who-filed-in-the-special-election-primary-to-replace-donald-payne-jr/

Frontrunner is definitely McIver as she has the Essex County party’s endorsement, but it’s not over til it’s over!

McIver sounds like "McGyver" and therefore I will be disappointed if I don't see campaign material from her taking advantage of that.

Isn't the party line struck down for all Democratic ballots? Or was it just for the Senate race?
