When you watch a movie in theatres, do you sit through the whole credits in case there's a scene afterwards?

Personally, I almost always do this out of compulsion.

And yes, I've seen a Marvel movie recently.

Not unless there's a catchy song (think "A Whole New World" at the end of Aladdin, or "My Heart Will Go On" from Titanic) anything post credits can be watched later for free.

Yes, but mostly just to avoid the rush of people leaving.

If it's a Marvel movie - yes to see the end credit scene.

Star Wars - yes to hear the unique Williams score at the end.

P.s. I hated it, but I respect the heck out of Marvel for trolling us at the end of Spider-Man.

Why do some people insist on leaving the theatre when the credits start rolling even though it is part of the movie and there's probably a scene after the credits?

Why on earth would I hang around to see a bunch of names and maybe a several second scene embedded somewhere along the way, which I could easily view at home? My friend makes me wait every time and it drives me insane, especially since I know darn well he's going to look it up when he gets home.

I tend to watch the credits of the last episode of TV shows I watch, and sit through the credits of MST3K, both for the theme and the stinger.

The idea is to use it as a time to reflect on what you've just watched.

You can do that on the drive/walk/etc. home where there aren't so many screaming kids and texting, gossipy teens or awful smells.

If the movies you go to involve such unpleasantness, why do you go?

Because I hate having to sit any longer than absolutely necessary. And rather than discuss it at the theater, I'd rather discuss it while doing something productive, like eating or going home.

I don't, unless someone invites me, or it's a movie worth the effort (such as Logan or a typical Pixar film last decade).

Only if there's little credits animations. If it's just a black screen with names and music, what's the point?

Kickbutt pop song at the end, or just a really good theme.

Yes if I'm with other people that want to stay too, also if there's someone in the film that I just can't place the name of and I'll say "Who was that?", I'll wait for the cast scroll
