I'm far more excited about the possible defeats of Simmons and Johnson than Shays. Imagine, an all Democrat delegation from CT! Of course it would never last, since we are not as liberal as Massachusetts.
It could. IIRC, every district in Connecticut voted Democrat in 2004. You'd need a wave or a scandal to unseat a Democrat in any of those districts once one got in.
Maybe now we would. But I was thinking of the old 5th District, abolished after re-districting, which was very volatile in the 90's. Parts of Connecticut are still pretty Republican at the local level, not the national or state level (except for Rell, who everyone loves).
