Yes, the entire congressional leadership is more unpopular than Jar Jar Binks.

I see that Joe Lieberman is slightly more popular than Paul Ryan.

Why do people approve of Emperor Palpatine?

Because people enjoy secretly rooting for the Empire?

Why do people approve of Emperor Palpatine?

Palpatine was a strong leader who made the starships run on time.

Why do people approve of Emperor Palpatine?

Palpatine was a strong leader who made the starships run on time.

But he unfortunately made the wealth gap on Coruscant explode during his time as emperor.

Why do people approve of Emperor Palpatine?

They don't approve of him.  They have a favorable opinion of him.  The job approval / favorability confusion here extends to fictional characters I guess?

There's a certain panache in Palpatine being more popular than Ryan...

Why is Boba Fett popular? All he did was fall in that sand-pit thing.

Yeah. But he was a bounty hunter and he had an interesting back story in the prequel trilogy.

Besides, the guy who fell in the sarlacc pit wasn't really Boba Fett.#wakeupthesheeple

Yeah, it was one of the passengers on MH370, who'd been pushed in there by the Ukrainian government to frame Putin.

This was back in 1983, before Ukrainian independence, so the conspiracy runs rather deep.

The Ukraine also tried to frame Putin by telling them them that in the future Larry McDonald would cause the Soviet Union to cease to exist, so Putin's pal, Anatoly Kornukov ordered Korean Airlines 007  shot down.

Then they killed 2 years until they could catch a ride with Doc Brown back to October 21, 2015.

Palpatine was extremely pro-human and vehemently anti-alien. So I guess he'd fit pretty well within today's politics. Tongue

That's only because you don't believe in trickle-down economics. Tongue

The respondents who disapprove of Darth Vader must be assuming that the pollsters were referring to this guy:
