Anyone who actually thinks that white privilege exists is literally stupid.
I know the term "white privilege" has a lot of baggage, but I am still really surprised that nobody so far has given even a nominal defense of the assertion, for which there is a mountain of sociological evidence, that blacks encounter a series of structural barriers that affect them far more than whites. I don't really want to dump every piece of data that supports this claim in one post, so for now, I'll just point to the study (rather, a summary of it) that shows that
race was a greater factor than criminal record in determining employment interview callback rates. Seriously, in the year 2003, it was more likely that an employer would call back a white person
with a criminal record than a black person
without one. Isn't that shocking?
