Think Kasich comes close to Trump in MI...probably wont be enough to close the gap but it will surprise many. Rubio will do very poorly.

Cruz will do better than expected in MS, but Trump will win comfortably

Cruz will win in Idaho, perhaps quite easily

Hawaii is tough...Romney beat Santorum because of huge turnout from a Mormon precinct (Romney only won by 2k votes). I could see both Cruz and Rubio doing well here, I don't think Trump wins.

I am suddenly reconsidering my earlier statements regarding Kasich not having a chance.

There is no question he has the momentum on the ground and if you couple Dem strategic voting with strategic voting from Rubio/Cruz it may be enough to put him over the top. Gun to my head, he still loses, but it may be very close.

I think we can all agree on 1 thing after these first few primaries: There are some VERY MAD people in the South.

And there are even madder people in New Hampshire.

You push that narrative, but none of the stats support it. South Carolinians were far more angry than New Hampshire voters.

60% MS and 52% MI want an outsider? YUP, Trump's gonna win both.

Those numbers were higher in the earlier primaries.

Anyone have a point of reference to compare this to other primaries?

6% of dems is probably irrelevant but seems a bit high, especially considering there is a dem primary going on at the same time.

Just voted for Kasich. I legitimately didn't decide which party's primary I would participate in until I checked the party selection box, which was the last thing I did. It was Kasich or Sanders, and it came down to which one I thought my vote would influence more. PredictIt had Kasich slightly higher, and I'm in a more Democratic district, so I figured my individual vote had a heigher weight intra-district on the GOP side (for delegate purposes). Never before have I been so undecided.

Decided to switch the avatar considering I was pretty much an independent today.
President was the last box I checked today voting early in NC. The first I checked was in AG and state officers, a judge and a ballot initiative. Then I did Governor and Senator, after which I stopped for a good two minutes before making my choice.
Who did you decide to vote for in all of the races?

You really want to know who I voted for to be District b Appeals Court Judge in NC? Wink

This is Atlas, of course we do.

Regardless of who wins, its pretty clear Trump has lost momentum across the country this week.

We need to see more results in from Wayne County to make any calls.

That is Detroit... Trump will dominate there. He is already ahead by 20% in the few hundred reported there.

Given that its largely african american, there are probably not many votes there.

Trump was never expected to lose MS and MI?

Don't see why people are acting like this was a major surprise.

Finishing behind Cruz in MI has to scare Kasich about his chances in OH next week.

At this point Kasich is probably in full IDGAF mode...if he loses, he has a cushy Governors job to go back to, if he wins, he can continue the joyride.

He wont get embarrassed next week, if he loses, itll be by 5% or something.

Also of note

-Rubio missed the threshold in MS
-Rubio missed the threshold in MI
-Rubio will miss the threshold in ID if he is under 20%

Really tough night for him, he has to be thinking about getting out at this point.
