i) What do you think the name of this nation should be?

Paciffic

ii) Where should its capital be?

San Francisco, CA

iii) What would be the major political parties and who would be its first president?

I think you'd have a Liberal Party, which would be left-wing, and take up much of the coast. You'd have a Conservative Party, which would be moderate, and popular in San Diego and elsewhere in SoCal, as well as among current coastal and suburban Republicans. Then you'd have a Tea Party, which would be right-wing and popular in "Jefferson," most of the Central Valley and rural Washington. The Tea Party would probably be secessionist.

The first President Barbara Boxer of the Liberal Party.
