I enjoyed watching SJU beat those two colleges every year I was there, muon 
I don't know about the years you were there, but there was no credit given to a win over Carleton. There was of course some shame in losing to them, since so few did.
Carleton has not beat SJU once since it began playing them in 1983. But then, Carleton is known for brains, not brawn.
The main enemy for us were, of course, the Tommies... And the biggest rival for skill was Concordia Moorhead.
But yes. Johnnies love to feel smug and superior...especially to the Bennies.
