The RGA has given Corbett $5.8 million this election cycle, yet he's still on track to lose by double digits (with his best case scenario probably being a loss in the high single digits). Let's just say that several Republican governors/candidates narrowly lose (LePage, Foley, Scott, Parnell, Fung, Beauprez, Brownback, Snyder, Walker, not necessarily with all of them losing, just examples). Would the RGA get backlash for flushing so much money down the toilet in Pennsylvania when so many other candidates could've used it? Could it hurt Christie (who is already facing some controversy with his supposed shortchanging of Walker to stifle his presidential run)?

If Walker loses, than yes there will be backlash.

If there are high profile defeats then it could come back to bite Christie. But these kinds of technical "campaign scandals" usually don't reverberate.

Christie deserves to get obliterated. I hope Walker runs for the sole purpose of trashing Christie.

Wait, I don't understand why Christie would want Corbett's endorsement so badly? Huh

This discussion has come up a few times on RRH. People there think this is more about Christie trying to please Pennsylvania donors who he thinks he'll need in 2016.

It could also be because Christie is likely the best equipped Republican to make PA competitive, and controlling the governorship would help with that goal.
