A small scandal in my view. One of Hillary's first missteps in fact. Not one single trade deal is perfect, usually even far from it, and most of them are first and foremostly benefitting multi-national corporations, yet the alternative of not having a trade deal is so far, far worse since, among many other things, that hurts the entire world economy and especially the world's poorest. It also hinders modernization and tearing down of the unnateral borders of the world (trade deals is just one small part of John Lennon's world vision of One World). Also, trade deals are always benefitting the countries involved, yet hurting badly all the other countries not involved, because it gives the trade dealing countries a huge competitive advantage. Imagine Europe today without the common market and the European Union. It probably wouldn't have been all that much better off than the Eastern European countries were until they entered the EU. And since entering, many/most Eastern European new EU members (like the 3 Baltic countries and Poland) have been among the fastest growing economies in the world, and would have been even more fast growing without the financial crisis. The exact same thing happened after Spain, Portugal, Ireland and Greece entered EU, yeah even Finland (though most of their economic boom was due to Nokia being the iPhone/Samsung of the late 90ies/early 2000s).

Bernie and Hillary are now both dead wrong on trade deals, yet Bernie is much more of an extremist on the issue, just like he is on immigration (where Hillary is a force of gigantically positive change, where Bernie is simply a force of hate, almost as bad as Trump, well not almost, but pretty bad nevertheless).

And this is the single biggest reason why I am rethinking my support for her candidacy -that and her backing for a repeal of the so-called Cadillac tax without proposing anything to replace it.

To be fair, the Cadillac tax is a disaster. An extra tax based on plans' actuarial value would be far more sensible that one based on premiums (which causes older, sicker groups to be targeted).

If she had proposed an alternative at the same time she backed a repeal of the existing Cadillac tax, I would not have minded.  As it stands, it looks like she is going to undermine the financial underpinnings of Obamacare, in an unholy alliance with the GOP.  And preserving Obamacare is a major reason why I am so keen to keep the White House in Democratic hands.  At least until the GOP finally accepts the permanence of Obamacare by the time they eventually win back the White House.

Is it possible that this is her ACTUAL ORIGINAL DEFAULT position and she only supported it as SoS because her job is to implement and champion her boss' policies?

Three reasons why I'm not buying that:
1) 45 times Hillary was supportive of TPP in the past:
http://www.cnn.com/2015/06/15/politics/45-times-secretary-clinton-pushed-the-trade-bill-she-now-opposes/index.html

2) Her reasons for opposing TPP totally fail the BS test. If in 2013 she was enthusiastically praising TPP when it looked like the biologic patent period would be 12 years, and now in the final deal it's 5-8 years, she's worried that pharmaceutical patent restrictions are too strict? Come on. And the currency manipulation critique is pure political pandering to organized labor.

3) After her newfound opposition to the Cadillac tax, there is a growing trend of her suddenly opposing policy ideas which she had expressed a lot of support for in the past. Once again the simplest, and most obvious answer is changing political calculations rather than a sincere change of heart or anything else of the sort.

Don't trust anything this compulsive liar says when she's trying to win a primary.

Forbes is basically saying Hillary is only saying she's opposing TPP because of the primary. Don't worry, she'll come around.
