Changes nothing to the sense of the comment. Confusing fascism and a ridiculously minimal regulation of the economic system is an inanity.

Ridiculously minimal?! There shouldn't even be any regulation OR government for goodness sake!

This deserves the same comment.

Is there a way to prevent every other thread from falling into an argument between Disraeli and Antonio over libertarian theory or fascism?

Ban the words "libertarian" and "fascist".

Yes. Pin a thread explaining what fascism is, and ban anyone who uses it incorrectly Wink

To shoot one of us, or to convince one of us to start a praticularly long and demanding TL/make elect one of us as Atladsian President, in order to prevent him to have any time to comment the other's statements.

There's a legitimate argument to be made that Bush's economic policies were fascist.

No such thing as fascist economic policies.

Corporatism.

Economic policies undertaken by some fascist governments in some circumstances, but hardly an inherently fascist economic policy.

Well, what is fascism but the policies of the Partito Nazionale Fascista?

There were also fascist governments in Germany, Spain, Japan, Romania...

Italy was the first, and the nearest to what most people associate with pure fascism.

Also, Japan wasn't fascist, arguably.

Nor Spain. Franco had the real fascists - Franco had the falangist hardcore under Jose Antonio Primo De Rivera largely incarcerated after World War II. It was more typically an authoritarian conservative State.

This is what happens when the tough questions get asked in Copenhagen... you get an angry response and people try to take your microphone away.

What a giant f**king waste of time.

Wow... that's almost fascist in nature.

That's what happens when science becomes political.
