Makes sense. If she isn't going to run, she needs to back out ASAP.

If Jeb ends up winning the nomination, will we begin to see a trend for earlier announcements? Before there always seemed to be a "don't want to be the first" stigma, but at this rate Jeb could end up crippling Christie, ending "Mittmania", and pushing out Rubio.

Any news at all on Democrats not named Hillary Clinton?

Not right now, but here's more news on Hillary Clinton….

The week after Easter is being pegged as the likely launch window for Clinton 2016:

Good timeframe, though I probably would've opted for February or March. I think the people pushing her to announce in December/January were being shortsighted.

Trump speaks at the South Carolina Tea Party convention and says he's giving "serious thought" to running for prez in 2016.  He also called it "outrageous" that Romney might run again, and said that the last thing the nation needs is another Bush in the White House:

*sigh* If only this would happen...

Looks like Hillary's team is terrified of the O'Malley/Webb juggernauts. No matter how much she raises, nothing will save her from her incoming curbstomping.

I think it's worth noting that there are now 24 (!!!) candidates under "publicly expressed interest" or higher on the GOP field, per Wikipedia.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_presidential_election,_2016#Publicly_expressed_interest_2

This could be a clown car like nothing we've seen before.

but will Sanders run as a Dem or an Indie. Obviously Hillary is hoping for the former.

definitely dem, no chance he'd run as an indie

Yeah, Sanders doesn't share the suicidal tendencies of many of his followers. He knows a Republican presidency would be disastrous for the country.

But she's running, really! All these people close to Warren are just betraying her right before her campaign launches! Roll Eyes

Seriously, including Warren in the polls at this point is even worse than including Romney and Ryan on the Republican side.

Roughly a 62.7% chance she doesn't run.

Rubio interest in a guber run is more not less indication that he's running for president now. Not that he hasn't already tipped that.

How do you figure?

He's said that if he runs for president, he won't use running for re-election to the Senate as a "fallback option".

I wonder if we could get more than one announcement in the same day in April. I'm sure we'll get multiple in a single week at least.

Haha, oh my god. I can't believe this is serious. Amazing news!

Apparently Charlie Sheen is also considering a run for president as a Republican.

Who else wants to see some Trump vs. Sheen debates?

We already knew that Webb was visiting Iowa in April, but this lengthy profile of Webb says he'll also be visiting New Hampshire and South Carolina "this spring":

Haha, I read this article a couple days ago.

But I only attack strawmen.  Nobody really thinks Webb has a chance. Wink

Wonderful news! April sounds much better than July.

Too bad the article is behind a paywall.

As with all WSJ (& NYT) articles, just Google the headline.

Neat trick, thanks!

Yeah, O'Malley hates Hillary and her triangulation so much that he was one of the first people to endorse her in 2007. Wink

What a hypocrite.
