I can't believe THIS was the only proposal that got enough signatures to appear on the ballot...

I can't believe that every other initiative was unable to garner a paltry 15 signatures. Obviously, it speaks volumes for the importance of this particular initiative.

I for one can think of no measure more important than freedom of the ballot. Without democracy, our nation cannot exist.

It should be noted that both sawx and Politics Junkie have not been registered in the game for one week, and as such I imagine their votes will be considered invalid.

It is clear that only the Movement and our presidential ticket stands in favour of freedom and true democracy. Those who value freedom and true democracy should vote for our ticket, and, even better, join the Movement.

It is worth noting that the Национальное движение «Алия Мустафина» has now recorded 100% turnout and a 100% yes vote. No other party can boast that its citizens are so involved in Atlasia.

Seeing these breakdowns, maybe 'The Left to be Loony Initiative' would have been a better name.

I'm sad there wasn't more initiatives that qualified, but I'm so thrilled that this many people have voted in Atlasia's very first national initiative vote. I hope this encourages more in the future.

I see the Federalists are succeeding in their attempt to potentially disenfranchise millions of Atlasian voters who choose not to or do not have the ability to write their ballots in the English language.

There aren't "millions of Atlasian voters". There are 187. They all have the ability to write in the English language.

Which would put turnout in most Atlasian elections at about 0.00004%? Come on.

I would not be opposed to providing a translator to any voter who needs one. My vote, though, is about making things easier for the SoFE. Otherwise, I'd just be enabling  a bunch of people whose sole desire is to troll the game. I know that sounds harsh, but when we step back for a minute, that's honestly exactly what it is. I haven't sent any messages out to my party about this initiative. What you're seeing is the Federalists reaching the same rational conclusion all on their own. And I reject the notion that it's about disenfranchising voters. It's about common sense and practicality.

I concur with that - it was quite close to my reasoning as well. The language thing to me has more to do with people wanting to take the Greek and Russian and really carry it too far. Further, I personally don't mind a bit of goofing around (joke votes, for example, carried to excess I just wouldn't count), my issue always tends to be with goofing around for the sake of goofing around because people inclined to do it usually don't respect restraint. Then it just gets in the way and becomes annoying. It would be tough enough, I think, to keep track of all the username changes.
