Another opportunity to have fun, to try to appeal to other forumers and to implement different rules Smiley.

Generals and above:
George Washington
Dwight D. Eisenhower
Ulysses S. Grant

Major generals:
Andrew Jackson
William H. Harrison
Zachary Taylor
Rutherford B. Hayes
James A. Garfield

Brigadier generals:
Franklin Pierce
Andrew Johnson
Chester A. Arthur
Benjmain Harrison

Colonels:
Thomas Jefferson
James Madison
James K. Polk
Theodore Roosevelt
Harry S. Truman

Lieutenant colonels and majors:
Lyndon B. Johnson
Richard Nixon
James Monroe
William McKinley
Gerald Ford
Millard Fillmore

Captains:
John Tyler
Abraham Lincoln
John F. Kennedy
Jimmy Carter
Ronald Reagan

Lieutenants and below:
George H. W. Bush
George W. Bush
James Buchanan

Here are the rules, based on a principle of hierarchical promotion:
- we'll first pick 1 President among the group of lieutenants (and below) and he'll be promoted to the group of captains,
- we'll then pick 2 Presidents among this group of captains and they'll be promoted to the group of majors and lieutenant colonels,
- we'll then pick 3 Presidents among this group of majors and lieutenant colonels and they'll be promoted to the group of colonels,
- we'll then pick 3 Presidents among this group of colonels and they'll be promoted to the group of brigadier generals,
- we'll then pick 3 Presidents among this group of brigadier generals and they'll be promoted to the group of major generals,
- we'll then pick 4 Presidents among this group of major generals and they'll be promoted to the group of generals (and above),
- we'll then pick the survivor among this group of 7 generals.

We have one vote to eliminate a President in each round.
Each round will last at least 24 hours.
You can't change your vote if someone has cast a vote after your own one.

In case of a tie, the President who received the biggest total of points in previous rounds is eliminated. In case of a new tie, the President who had the highest rank in RL is eliminated, as he is unable to lead and as we need to promote fresh blood Grin. In case of a new tie (Tongue), I, General of this survivor, decide who is eliminated.

ROUND 1 IS OPEN !

In this round, you have one vote to eliminate a President in the following group:
George H.W. Bush
George W. Bush
James Buchanan

Please try to vote based only on the military record of each President, that will be far more interesting !

Eliminate George W. Bush

Well, whatever the theme of the surivor, he is almost always the first to go Grin.
(my Bush Vulcans survivor was probably the exception !)

But from round 2, it will be already difficult to choose.

By the way, why don't you throw in Civillian presidents in their own catagory?

(Adams [both], Van Buren, Cleveland, Taft, Wilson, Harding, Coolidge, Hoover, FDR, Clinton, Obama)

Precisely because they are civilians, I guess Tongue.
Pretty logical, isn't it ?

(and it's cool not to have all of them, for once Wink)

Well, I've hesitated with Reagan, but he didn't see action because of medical problems, and Tyler.

It's very difficult to find images of old Presidents in uniform or as soldiers. A pity.

Eliminate Reagan

(and then, it will be difficult between JFK, Carter and Bush Sr.)

Pierce, who rose from a Private to Brigadier General in two months mostly thanks to his political connections.

The remaining 3 among Ford, JFK, Bush Sr. and Monroe will be promoted.
So, this choice is especially difficult.

I'm hesitating between Ford and Kennedy, as they weren't great fighters: their deeds, though heroic, could have been done in a civilian context.

Eliminate Ford, I guess
