I moderated one of those two posts myself, strangely enough.

It should be pretty easy for a lot of us to figure out who reported our posts from now on if you check your stats on a daily basis. For instance, when I made a post this morning in this thread correcting which of my posts had been moderated I had six reported posts. Since that time I've made only one new post which was about Libertas' fetish of Rand Paul. Lo and behold, I now have seven reported posts! Who could've reported that post?!?

I was extremely surprised to find that it actually wasn't Libertas for once.

I'm up one reported post to 9, but it wasn't moderated

Must have been jamjams who reported the 9th.

Nah, it was the Roach.  Totally spurious, of course.

He actually wasn't doing too badly in terms of the number of reported/infracted posts.  But then last weekend happened, and his (presumably intoxicated) rampage of trolling and spamming (most of which has since been deleted, of course) got him removed extremely rapidly.  For a change.

Derek was banned due to excessive spamming and trolling. Sargent probably got banned because he was Hamilton and also because he was an excessive troll and spammer. TBH, I kinda liked Sargent.

So when will you be banned for excessive spamming?

The Roach's new thing is spurious reports, which will not find any favor with Dave, I can assure you.

27-9-9

Someone reported me today, I wonder what post I made was so "offensive"?

That pbrower weirdo apparently thought your "15% of Texans are FF's apparently" comment was an (I quote) "INDECENT IMAGE".

lol

Keep failing, BRTD. I'm halfway to my goal. Cheesy

Almost.  It takes 100 points to be banned.

12 - 3 - 5

The 5 points was from Dave for telling the Roach that I wanted him to leave the forum, in response to yet another of his demands for a Kazakhstan avatar.  You don't see me creating a 10-page bitchfest in the Atlas over it, do you?  Wink

I don't understand how I still have infraction points.

It's a bug in the system, and you aren't the only one affected.  Dave will no doubt fix it around the same he deals with the mods' other requests of him.

Yeah, I figured but at least someone finally gave a response to my complaint.

You poor thing; twelve minutes is such a long time to wait to "finally" get a response.  Tongue

I got another reported/moderated post with +2 death points today, but when I click moderated posts there isn't anything new there since May 3rd.  Can anyone fill me in on what I did?

Captain Profanity reported you for dropping an f-bomb here.

Who's Capitan Prosperity?

'Capitan Prosperity' is a title that you just made up, although if I had to, I'd ascribe it to Torie.  Captain Profanity is an... um... affectionate nickname some of the mods have graciously granted to Inks.

I wasn't infracted in weeks, perhaps because I'm a nice guy now.

As it happens, we've been lamenting our inability to infract frivolous reports.

The reason why those infractions seemed unfairly tardy is because we only recently realized how to ensure that infraction points are actually logged (and PMs sent) for posts we haven't in fact taken any action on (i.e. any of those found in the Atlas board, for example).  Nym and I simply went back and re-did them as before, which then generated the PMs you received.
