http://fivethirtyeight.com/datalab/the-blame-bush-era-may-be-at-an-end/

"None of this data suggests that Bush is popular or should trotted out by Republicans in the 2014 midterms elections. What it does tell us is that Democrats who try to tie Republicans to the Bush years may not have the same success they had a few years ago. Bush is much more of a neutral figure in the eyes of Americans.

At the same time, Obama and his fellow Democrats’ ability to lay the economic situation at the feet of his predecessor is weakened. By 2016, it’s possible that the majority of Americans will hold Obama responsible for the state of the economy."

Obama won't be "blamed" in 2016, Obama will be THANKED FOR in 2016.

At least if the Democrats can put out their message in a competent way ...

Pretty sure the people blaming him and thanking him in 2016 are going to be the same people blaming him and thanking him now.

Which is why if the Republicans nominate Jeb the Democrats should nominate Hillary, to remind them what life was like before Dubya became President.

Are they saying that come 2016, Bush will be more popular than Obama?

1. The unemployment is dropping despite everything that has happened (sequester, government shutdown, etc.)

2. President who left office always get more popular. Look at Jimmy Carter!
