Let's not forget a dirty little secret of gun advocates.  A significant source of guns used by criminals are the ones stolen from legal owners.

The point of all this is that posting anecdotes proves nothing on either side of the issue.    If we used anecdotal evidence in medicine we'd still be using bloodletting to deal with illness by balancing bodily humours.

The hope of the OP of this thread was that having a single thread for shootings would serve to declutter the board, but it hasn't worked to do that and instead is used as a place to post pointless anecdotes by both pro-shooting and anti-shooting advocates.  Locking.
