1858 Parliament Election

So America in sh**t turmoil, to say the least.

So America, has been a self-governing colony of the British for like ever, until 1854. In 1854, some ragtag Americans, from the self-governing colonies, started to get pretty pissed, why were they pissed, so some dumb s that the British were decided, it would be a marvelous idea to send their own military to America, after some local residents decided to protest against England, which was due to lack of political power for everyone but the rich and taxes going directly to the British empire, and not being used to help Americans. This protesters were sending a movement of freedom, through the colonies so of course we can't have that. The British soldiers came, and what was called the Pennsylvania massacre, killed all these protesters. These got the people quite angry, so some military officers of the US, decided you know enough is enough, and led a revolutionary army of just about 1000. This army however vastly increased in size, and before you know it more than more than 10, 000 people's were joining. British quite scared formed their own loyalist armies, controlled of the aristocracy, the merchant class, and the upper class, of course with some civil servants, and black people who were thankful the new rights that they had gotten, after the banning of slavery in the British colonies in 1838. Civil war had emerged

Come to be it, being on the side of the vast majority of people, wins out and the revolutionaries won, but sh*t was not all merry yet. First of all, the revolutionaries had 4 groups particularly, the radicals, the liberals, the democrats and the unionists.

The radicals, were quite literally radical, calling for free suffrage for all, abolishnment of taxes for the poor and the middle class, opposition to the banks, protections for oppressed people, both black and white, and the foundation of a republic. Also off with the heads sort of thing to the aristocracy and the continuation of more revolutionary movements in the US.

The liberals were complex, they desired free trade, low tariffs, were supported mainly by  expanded suffrage, but not so radical to address the concerns of the poor. Basically boring liberals or well educated reformists. They basically support a constitutional monarchy.

The Democrats, were seen as protesters of the common man, the people that lived in the backwoods of everyday life. However many in the party were very, very racist, opposed to the new freedoms that the dirty negro got, and gosh don't get me started on the catholic. They did want universal suffrage, opening of native land to white people. They're also republicans, and want an independent free America and to avoid those un-american people. Very opposed to a strong state.

There's also unionist people, people that still support Britain, as the motherland, but with expanded political power. They're conservatives, who want less taxes so joined on the revolutionary bandwagon, favorable measures to the banks, and protectionism. So supportive of the monarchy, with more political power for them selves of course.

Opposing the revolutionary forces were the loyalists, very very patriotic  to Brittania, supported by former Brits, but also the upper classes, the aristocracy and the people that had the power. They of course support the previous system of governing crap.

So while, there could have been a deceleration of a republic and be done with it, that would prolly cause some unrest's and another civil war, and to the members of the rich, most of them didn't want that, except of course the radicals.

Ultimately in negotiations, the British gave up America as a self-independent nation, under the British colony, radicals were outraged, loyalists played the role of doing whatever Britain told them to do. The negotiation, still made US, have a formal alliance, but now they were given the right to manage their own affairs. The negotiation also protected loyalists who participated in the loyal forces, and the keeping of the existing order of running things, so the rich loyalists could be protected.

Currently, only male men, who own property can vote and we have no bill of rights thing, which will be decided in this whole convention thing, happening after the election and things will be decide then.

Vote!

No Party has their specific leaders yet.

300 people to be elected in house for the convention, the nation is literally in your future. Don't F*l this up.

Suggestions would be useful.

Liberals, taxes are too necessary, even on the middle class.
