Clint is having an awful speech marked by these occasional great lines. It's alright, but I hope Romney will be better. He's clearly not using a Teleprompter -- he's memorized his lines.

He just said no one asked the Russians about Afganistan, and tried to criticize Obama for going in there. Then he had the audacity to say Romney was for immediate withdrawal. This speech is awful.

I have a lot of respect for Clint Eastwood as an actor and a director and even as a principled politician. He is my kind of Republican. I really thought he was going to nail it tonight.

I've never seen such a poor speech get received so wonderfully. Maybe Eastwood knows that. That he doesn't even have to make a good speech. Maybe psychologically priming people for Romney? Who knows.
