Only people with Republican avatars may vote. Write your vote out for all to see. Rank your top 3 in order, points will be awarded 3, 2, 1. Top finsher will compete vs. the Tope Democrat in a poll like this.

The candidates are

George Bush
Ronald Reagan
Gerald Ford
Richard Nixon
Dwight Eisenhower
Herbert Hoover
Calvin Coolidge
Warren Harding
William Howard Taft
Theodore Roosevelt
William McKinley

Reagan takes the lead, shocking.

Whoever finishes second, the real race, will be the winner's VP.

Sorry King. According to Akno, you can't vote in this (since you're not a Republican).

Read his profile. He is a Republican AND a Democrat. He is also a Democrat for Bush.

Anyway, I'm not Fritz and this isn't a real election so I'm not going to get too picky.

Alright. I figured I'd bring it up since you said "Republican avatar"

Thanks anyway. The only point of this thread is to see who would come in second anyway.

Right now, it's Reagan 19 (I'm counting Beaver's vote as a third place, because not ranking the others would strategically help)

Eisenhower 7
Roosevelt 7

Polls close at midnight.

No reason to keep them from adding their opinions though.  I plan on posting mine in teh dem after the voting closes.

I was just telling him his vote won't be counted. He has every right to post his thoughts.

Final Tally:

Ronald W. Reagan (California): 22
Richard M. Nixon (New York): 8
Dwight D. Eisenhower (New York): 8
Theodore Roosevelt (New York): 7
Herbert Hoover (California): 6
Calvin Coolidge (Massachusetts): 5
William McKinley (Ohio): 4
Gerald Ford (Michigan): 2

Richard M. Nixon wins second place, due to the fact that he had more first place votes than Dwight D. Eisenhower. If only one candidate was listed on a ballot, that vote would count as a third-place vote, because it  hurt other candidates by not ranking them.

At the Republican National Convention in Philadelphia, the GOP nominated the ticket of:

President: President Ronald W. Reagan (R-CA)
Vice-President: President Richard M. Nixon (R-NY)

haha silly Republicans...yall could have won with TR.  Instead FDR will destory Reagan Smiley

TR will likely be the right-leaning Conservative, and we are using Preferntial Voting.

President: President Ronald W. Reagan (R-CA)
Vice-President: President Richard M. Nixon (R-NY)

Akno, wasn't Nixon also from California?

Thus making him ineligible to run with Reagan, if you play by those rules....

Or at least, the electors from CA couldn't vote for him.

He was from California when he was VP, but when he ran for President, he was from New York, at least according to the Atlas.
