Link.I see no reason as to why this individual shouldn't be charged with a felony and imprisoned so as to increase the safety of the general public. Don't get me wrong at all. I'm very sympathetic to those that have HIV. If one can manage the virus and keep it under control with medication, the risk factors drastically drop. They should be treated no differently than anyone else. As for those that have the virus and show the apparent disregard this man has, I have little interest in the end result. Those that knowingly cause infection to others
without notice should be criminally charged and held liable for compensatory damages for those that are infected. HIV may not be a death sentence anymore, but it remains to be a lifetime affliction. It's bad enough that people are infected through normal means, but intentional infection is purely vile and despicable.
