Okay, sorry for the delay! I was on a cruise through the Bahamas and ended up spending 36 hours in airports on the way home. Don't fly United.

Please reinforce as follows:

3 on Georgia

Once done, attack Florida-Alabama-Mississippi from Georgia, moving all troops through these states, do-or-die. If successful, attack North Carolina-South Carolina from Tennessee, using only 6 armies from TN. We'll see how that goes and then I'll get back to ya.

Thanks!

Okay. I think I'll call it quits here.

Can you move 4 armies from South Carolina to North Carolina to end my turn? Thanks!

Well, consider me shocked.

Please fortify as follows:

7 in Mississippi

Attack Mississippi to Louisiana, do or die, then Louisiana to Arkansas, do or die. Maximum troops should end up in AR. Hold off there and I'll decide what to do next.

Thanks. Smiley

Sorry to keep making you await further instructions just to do nothing, but yeah... Not really confident with the strength of my armies to do anything else.

Please move the maximum number of troops from Arkansas to Mississippi and end my turn.

Thanks.

Don't worry about it.  Smiley  BTW I'll need to send you your card later today; I'm at work and I can't recall which card is next.

No worries. It would probably get lost in BS Atlasia messages anyway. Tongue

Please deploy as follows:

2 on Kansas
6 on Arkansas

Attack Kansas to Oklahoma, do or die. Once won, please move the maximum number of troops into Oklahoma. Next, attack Arkansas to Texas. Once won, keep two armies in Arkansas and put the rest in Texas (keeping two armies in Arkansas might affect dice rolls, but hopefully my forces won’t deplete enough for it to be a situation we have to deal with Tongue).

Fortify by moving the maximum number from Mississippi to Arkansas.

We’ll see how it goes. I guess there are other options, but I don’t really see how it benefits me to go on a wild goose chase and leave my holdings undefended…

Am I the only one who thinks that tmth is in a really good position, provided that he plays his cards right?
Wait, what? lol

I may not be in as bad of shape as BK or MB, but I don't see myself in a better position than Hagrid (still) or Vosem.

Maybe it's too early to editorialize, but I do think the game is Vosem's to lose now. I took a gamble going for the South for a few reasons. First, I didn't want to go on a big rampage elsewhere and spread my armies thin. Second, I really thought Franzl would want to go for a bonus of his own either in the northwest or with his recently-lost states, rather than attack me. I think now the two of us will be preoccupied by a mutually-destructive back-and-forth that will allow Vosem to sweep in through the rest of the rust belt. We'll see. Maybe I shouldn't post this stuff in public, but obviously I am a bit miffed at the situation. Tongue

Please deploy as follows...

2 in Tennessee
1 in Texas

Please attack Texas to Arkansas to Mississippi, moving the maximum number of troops each time. If anything along this line of attack fails, stop and await further orders. If it's successful, attack Alabama from Tennessee. I want you rolling with the highest number of dice possible, but if I win, I want you to move the lowest number of armies possible into Alabama.

Refortify by moving four armies from North Carolina to Tennessee. End turn.

Thanks!

I believe that means I get 18 armies. So here we go. Please deploy as follows:

1 on Oklahoma
4 on Maryland
13 on Tennessee

Attack Oklahoma to Arkansas, do or die. Attack Maryland to Delaware, do or die. If any of these fail, stop and await further orders. If not, proceed.

Attack Tennessee to Virginia to West Virginia to Kentucky to Indiana to Illinois to Missouri to Iowa to Nebraska to Wyoming, do or die. If I get that far, I want the maximum number of troops in Wyoming. Either way, stop and await further orders.

Whatever I do, it’s going to be tough. Might as well see if I can make something from nothing!

All right. I control Arkansas, Wyoming, Iowa, and Indiana, so please put two armies on each. On top of that, I’m pretty sure I now have 26 battalions to place. Please deploy those 26 armies as follows:

6 (+2) on Arkansas
9 (+2) on Wyoming
11 on South Carolina
(+2) on Indiana
(+2) on Iowa

Attack Arkansas to Texas, do or die. If this attack fails, stop and await further orders.

Next, attack Wyoming to Colorado to New Mexico to Arizona to Utah to Nevada to California to Oregon to Washington to Idaho.

In the east, attack South Carolina to North Carolina to Virginia to Maryland to Delaware to Pennsylvania to New Jersey to New York to Connecticut, do or die.

Attack Indiana to Ohio, do or die.

Not sure I can say for sure that I’ll want to end my turn here, so please await further orders after you've done these rolls. We'll see how this goes.

You also control Iowa, meaning 2 extra battalions there as well.  Wink

I edited my post to reflect that so everything's in one place for ya. Thanks for catching that. Smiley

This game is now essentially down to luck, I think. Sound strategy from Hagrid.

I think the decisive factor now is the dice + how the card sets pan out. If my calculations are corrects Vosem might be able to hand in 2 sets at once next round, while Hagrid will hand in 1. But how many armies will those have? So many questions, so few answers, etc. Tongue

Before his last turn I was pretty sure Vosem had five and Tmth had two. So when Vosem cashed in his set, it brought him down to two. He took Tmth's two and earned another, bringing him up to five... so I'm pretty sure he only cashes in once. I hope. Tongue

Okay. Please deploy as follows:

7 on Alabama
4 on Pennsylvania

Attack Pennsylvania to New York to Connecticut, do or die. Then attack Alabama to Tennessee to Arkansas to Oklahoma to Colorado, do or die. End turn.

I'm just still flabbergasted from that last turn. Tongue Not getting a card SUCKED.

Anyway... please deploy as follows:

9 on Mississippi

Attack Mississippi to Tennessee to Arkansas to Oklahoma to Colorado to Wyoming, do or die.

If things go terribly again and I don't manage to take a state during that line of attack, please see what you can do by attacking Wisconsin from Iowa. But that's only if necessary.

Otherwise, end turn by moving the maximum number from Iowa to Nebraska.

That gives me a total of 19, plus two on Mississippi.

Please deploy as follows:

8 (+2) on Mississippi
11 on Wyoming

Attack Wyoming to Montana to Idaho to Nevada to Oregon to Washington. Attack Mississippi to Arkansas to Tennessee to Kentucky to Ohio to Michigan to Wisconsin to Minnesota. These orders are "do or die," but I really hope you'll err on the "do" side. Tongue

Either way, stop and await further orders.
