I tend to change palates a lot depending on the season and just in general.
New Glarus Spotted Cow is one that I always love. It is only available in the state of Wisconsin. I always try to pick some up when I am near the border/crossing back into Illinois.
I found Samuel Adams Summer Ale this year and it is probably the best seasonal offering I have had. Sam Adams is great with the seasonals even though I am not the biggest fan of their other offerings. Their Octoberfest is a great one as well.
Another long time favorite is New Belgium's Fat Tire. A really good amber ale from an innovative brewer.
Locally, I love Two Brothers Ebel's Weiss, a wheat beer from a microbrewery in DuPage County. Goose Island's 312 is another good wheat, although not as good as the offering from Two Brothers.
As a big fan of winter beers, I am looking forward to returning to Sam Adams Winter Lager this year but also want to try Goose Island's new Festivity Ale and Port City Tidings Ale.
