2016 RNC Convention will be in Cleveland, Ohio

The DNC's exclusivity clause means that Cleveland is now eliminated from consideration as the host city for the DNC:

The five finalists for the DNC are now:

Birmingham
Columbus
New York City
Philadelphia
Phoenix

I think Birmingham and Phoenix are longshots.  It'll be Columbus, NYC, or Philly.

There is absolutely no reason that the DNC shouldn't be held in Birmingham.

Don't cities like NYC and Philly have more experience hosting a big event like that?  Aren't they more likely to be able to come up with the $ to deal with it?  Seems like those are reasons not to hold it in Birmingham.
