Oh man, last night was too funny. I wish they had cameras in the Red Sox locker room to capture the reaction to Longoria's homerun.

The Boston media is really insufferable ("a hurt for the ages"). You guys have 7 goddamn championships over the past decade. It's like Mark Zuckerberg complaining that he lost $20. SMD

Tampa dominated Texas 9-0 in Game 1. Rays only gave up 2 hits, both to Hamilton. Smiley

Does Philly fan boo every time the opposing pitcher throws to first or the catcher comes out to talk or are they just being extradouchey tonight?

(no, I'm not bitter)

I think we're still irritated from Posada/Yankees Pitcher from 2009.

It's nice to be pissed that we "only" won 11-6. My real concern is that I think we'll struggle to score (like usual) tomorrow.

It's a day of blown leads in Philly! Damn it. I had a feeling we weren't going to get this one though.

Their bullpen allowed only 1 hit over 5 innings.  Hopefully they can't shut us down again.

I guess this means Rick Santorum is going to be the next flavor of the month.

I guess you decided to ignore my comment on this in the other thread. It doesn't affect a candidates I support in an election held a year away even if the campaign is happening now.

The Flavor of the Month is not a year away.

Not sure what's hard to understand about this: it doesn't affect candidates that I support in an election held a year away even if the campaign is happening now. "Flavor of the month" is happening now but it would affect an election that begins next year. It doesn't count now.

I have a feeling you're right, though I hope the Cardinals can suprise everybody and take this now-best-of-3 series and head to the NLCS, probably against their division rivals, the Milwaukee Brewers!

Sad

I guess I'll have to root for Texas in the ALCS, and Milwaukee overall now that the Rays are out.
