Not everything Carson says is smart or well thought through (of course), but at least it doesn't come from a political manifesto made by others (GOP strategists and what have you). Probably cause he's not a politicians. He's refreshing, unlike boring types like Jindal. OMG, can you really get any more boring than Bobby Jindal??
