Hopefully our sister party is as underestimated in the polls as we just were.

But it's quite different from northern Hesse in that the SPD has 'always' been strong throughout the area, while strong SPD support in northern Hesse was limited to the area around Kassel until after the War. Historically the area was mostly textiles, right?

I'm not particularly happy with them at the moment, though.

Considering that they're polling around 5% I think that's a given Tongue

Might just be a generic 'f*** you all' thing; we get that here in midterm polls, sometimes.

Slight correction; the LibDems are mostly the successor party to the Liberals and are officially seen as such by the party's leadership.

Is there any reason for Forsa showing such a different picture to seemingly all other companies? Do they do their polls in a different way?

For all I can tell, Forsa and the SPD are in the sixth or seventh year of a protracted lovers' quarrel.

Ah, right. lol.

There are some areas in the state where the Greens do quite well in which don't seem like natural Green areas. And, of course, they finished second in Stuttgart in 2009.
