Bill Maher joked about this last night, saying imagine you were in a coma for two years and woke up to these results. What would your reaction be?

I'd honestly question if I hadn't woke up in 2024. The map by itself was largely what many were predicting to happen eventually, but it happening this year was a pleasant surprise. As well, given how badly the Democrats got beat in 2014, a Republican victory should've been expected.

Only the map, but not the winner. Donald Trump will be too old in 2024.

I mean, having no context of the past two years, I'd probably find the fact that Trump won to be hilarious.

In 2014, we though that the democratic primary would have Hillary Clinton and Martin O'Malley, and that the republican primary would have Jeb Bush and Chris Cristie

Right after awaking and seeing the news: What happened to Jeb?! Did he die? Trump, really? Well at least it's not a Clinton or a Bush!

I'd be speechless.  Until I was brought up to speed on all that transpired.

As a 2012 Obama voter, I'd have been grateful that the dynasties (Bush, Clinton) did not prevail.  One of the things I hope for this election is that there be an end to dynastic politics at the Presidential level.
