Agricultural Policy Education

This may be in the wrong section, and if so, please forgive me.

I'm looking to read up on ag policy, but don't really know where to seriously start. Does anyone know of any dedicated informational websites? Something like the Marshall Project, but for agriculture, not criminal justice reform.

Modern Farmer is a good source for ongoing policy coverage. I'm not sure where you find a good primer, though. I'll be interested to hear what anyone recommends.

In the absence of a primer being suggested, I suppose I can just jump into the deep end.

I would caution that modern farmer is a pretty left leaning publication, and doesn't reflect the views of most farmers that I have met, however I don't have a good suggestion for a primer. You'd probably be best to just do some internet searches on specific topics, and check out magezines like agrinews.
