Im freakin out. Im half way through semester exams (senior year of high school) and I havent gotten any of my college letters back yet (Not that I expected them back yet). Lehigh U started reviewing apps on the first of January and Franklin and Marshall will start on the 15th. I have a 3.4 GPA Unweighted and got a 1360 on the SAT I. I really am afraid that the gap between the two numbers will be my downfall, and the last thing I need to be worrying about this that dumb stuff while I have a calc final tomorrow and an analytic geometry one Wednesday, with some in between. If I dont get into F and M, its going to seriously f with my life plans, I really dont know what I would do. I dont think Ill get into Lehigh U, but it was a nice longshot to tack on to the list. What do you think gang? can you lie to me just until exams are over and make me feel better?

Love as always,

You should have never applied to Lehigh...it is an evil, sad, place.

You will get letters from colleges during maybe the last week of March and the first week of April.  Chill for a bit and use your free time to apply for scholarships Smiley

Whatever you do, don't panic.

And remember that everything gets much more busy from this point onward in your life (fortunately you get better at handling it).

1360 on SAT I? One of my friends got 1380 & got into UC Santa Barbara. I wouldn't worry too much.

I don't think there's much you can do at this point half-way through your Senior year in high school.  At least in California, the standard requirement for decent colleges is a simple 3.0 in high school.

The best psychological device you can use for yourself is to convince yourself of the awesomeness/acceptability of a school or two you'll likely get into.  If you're very yhappy with your non-top choice, it's easier to accept rejection. Berkeley wasn't my top choice until after I had already been accepted.
