Let's say Gilmore was bankrolled by a couple wealthy folks, had solid talent on his side and good operations in key states.  Maybe he raised $3-5MM per quarter.  Where would he be right now?

Nationally not above 5%, in NH maybe at 6-7%.

Many people remarked that Jeb has basically the same exact qualities as Gilmore, just a more famous name.

So probably not as well as Bush. That's before you factor in his support of first trimester abortions too. So definitely not as well as Bush.
