According to the schedule on the CSPAN site, the primetime network hour (10-11pm) will be
Michelle Obama
Elizabeth Warren
Bernie Sanders

(in that order)

Will Michelle in any way address the Melania thing?  Maybe a joke about it?

That's f**king 4 in the morning.

Great.

Bonne nuit. Régardez-la demain. Smiley

So Bernie, what's the point of an education? To be a ward of the state, or to be SUCCESSFUL AND WEALTHY?

Neither. You would have known, if you had any.

Exactly. This question demonstrates a deep lack of understanding of what an education is and what it intends to do.

This particular paragraph of Bernie's speech was particularly effective:

"If you don’t believe this election is important, if you think you can sit it out, take a moment to think about the Supreme Court justices that Donald Trump would nominate and what that would mean to civil liberties, equal rights and the future of our country."

You need a real education and seriously. If there was no socialism involved in government, we'd have a completely capitalist economy with no taxes and where infrastructure was privately funded. I didn't invent a damn thing, you are lashing out at me because you don't understand economics and accusing me of just making up things. Get an education, get an education, get an education. You have been read.

Having been a professor of economics for, likely, almost as many years that you have been around, I am mildly amused Smiley

BTW, if you have not noticed, I am the moderator of the Economics board here Smiley

I'm not in the habit of studying everyone's profile here. You need to brush up on your stuff. But then again, sometimes anyone can become a professor. I know a whole lot of people in professions and it's questionable how they got there.

In any case, just want to be clear. Sanders, in the end, did the honorable thing, and I commend him for it. Most of his supporters - those who, actually, belong in the party - will behave likewise.

Those who do not - well, the party (and Clinton candidacy) will be better without them. Like any insurgent movement, that of Sanders attracted many a strange type. Quite a few of them are no Democrats in any sense of the word. Trying to hold on to them is fool's gold: doing so would repell more people than it would attract.

Now that the first day is over, time to concentrate on the real business of the convention.

Couldn't agree more.

I want to hear more about the military. I want to hear about it.

You can go and listen to Trump then about how disastrous and weak it is, etc. etc.

Jerry Brown proclaiming a Clinton winner proudly. The end times have truly come.

That's unity if I ever saw it.

This has been a beautiful and masterful speech in terms of pathos, ethos and logos--brilliant. The distance between this convention and the GOP convention has been from the ground to the sky.

This is an uplifting and positive message, underscoring what America always has been about. A++

It takes a lot to draw a tear, and many were drawn from the listeners there. Great job, Bill. Which Hillary? THIS Hillary.
