Friendly amendment, offered and accepted, to change the text of section four to "The month and year of each numbered Senate shall be placed in parentheses next to each numbered Senate in the division of sections of statute."
24 hours to object.
A rather simple change. Thanks for introducing this.
The wiki, of course, is in much need for a consolidation of it's statute page. The problem is, this Act alone barely scratches it. There's a ton of work we need to do on the consolidating of other legislation, especially things like Trade Agreements where we have a ton of them scattered throughout the statute page.
The State page is hideously organized though. We have legislation on there that has long since been repealed or passed it's usefulness, and all it does at this point is confuse people who are trying to read the damn thing, the Senate itself included. This is only a small weeding of the statute where I could find things, but more looks will surely find more things to cleanup, but at the very least, this bill gets rid of a good chunk of useless things off the record to prevent confusion, and creates a "Repealed Statute" page for future use, where we can clearly distinguish what is active law, and what isn't.
