So still permitting private (ie religious) school to advocate discrimination?

Are you advocating forcing religious schools to violate their moral, theological or doctrinal consciences?

I have serious concerns about the constitutionality of this bill. At a minimum, we should bring the regional executives into this conversation.

By the way, I object to JCL's amendment. Which, I should add, undercuts his supposed commitment to regional autonomy. How disappointing.

This was in response to the whole hiflygate thing. If we think that that act was unconstitutional, as many people do, then I think we're justified in doing this

If Hifly's bill were unconstitutional, then would this not be redundant?

What I was doing was demonstrating the absurdity of this bill and the supremacy of the regions on this issue. This is what happens when the federal government takes a right that exclusively should belong to the regions.

Nay, the federal government needs to butt out. This bill is why the federal government should have absolutely ZERO AUTHORITY regarding matters concerning marriage.
