As you can see, Gore has a little bit more counties than Bush.  His greatest county is The Bronx and his most vulnerable county was Santa Barbara.  He also has a little bit more plurarity in his top counties.  He's most popular in large cities, industrial cities, and a few inner suburbs.

Linn IA (Davenport) 54.5 Crossed 100,000 votes

Linn County is actually Cedar Rapids.  Davenport is in Scott County.

Otherwise great list.  Not as many pickups or 100,000 vote crosses as Bush, but still an impressive share.

"Pure" pickups are actually six a side.
Btw, I noticed that St Louis Co, MN, did not cross 100,000 votes this election. It was merely missing from the original list. Smiley


I do remember that St. Louis, MN was close, but I thought it didn't make the 100,000 cut.  By the way, I excluded all 3rd party votes...that may be why.
