Isn't that the existing policy?
The Obama policy was
(1) to catch people at the borders, and
(2) deport criminal aliens.
The first can deal with some humanitarian issues -- like people dying of cold, heatstroke, dehydration, hunger, and snake bites.
The second involves betrayal of standards expected of us all.
