For me:

Right wing: I believe in pretty much every free trade agreement that the U.S. is involved in.

Left wing: It would be a disaster if Social Security were to be privatized.

If you have many right wing and left wing positions, just pick one of each.

Left: gay marriage, euthanasia, progressive income tax, social security, subsidized health care, no public prayer in schools, no creationism in schools, for stem cell research, land use controls.

Right: Vouchers, anti public employee unions, anti racial and ethnic spoils, pro death penalty.
