I'm feeling even more intensely shocked and depressed today. Why did Allen have to lose? Why!

I'm feeling even more intensely shocked and depressed today. Why did Allen have to lose? Why!

Because people preferred the the war hero Reagan cabinet member.

Out of the entire gang, Webb is my favorite Senator-elect. He isn't a great public speaker, but he'll make an excellent senator IMO.

Dude, if after a day you're still crying about a politician losing, you seriously need to re-evaluate how big a part of your life winning elections is.  Life goes on.  How do you think the Democrats felt in 2004?

I am 100% serious when I say this: This thread needs to be deleted.

You already took up space with your first thread crying (literally) over Allen's defeat, and that was one too many threads on the "topic" of Allen's loss as it was. This is a ridiculous topic and all it does is clutter the forum.

I think we should keep the thread up because it makes laugh a hardy laugh.

As for Webb being a DINO? HELL NO.

Are democrats going to be angry when Casey and Webb, et. al. vote for Bush's next SC appointment (assuming there is one)?

Hypothetical, not saying they will; but I've been thinking about how I just wanted the Senate won by the Reps so the court nominees could be easily confirmed...and then I remembered how Casey supported Alito and Roberts, so maybe the appointments won't be difficult after all...

Casey might support Bush's appointments...I have a feeling Webb wouldn't.

Wow, Kevin is starting to make Mike Naso look good.  That's pretty hard to do.

Webb is a real moderate.  Not a fake Ford/Lieberman moderate ie pro-corruption and pro-Iraq.  I think he will cast votes that I disagree with but will be a great Senator.
