Bush was the somewhat more pragmatic of the two, as well as being more personally likeable.

Labour could have won with Denis Healey if Healey had been more forthcoming with the Labour right and gotten himself elected over Foot.

No chance. Benn and co wouldn't have taken a Healey leadership victory lying down.
