72 hours isn't a big deal because in practice the Senate can do other things while the objection period elapses. Also, isn't it normally only a one-third vote required to override PPT actions?

I'm posting on my phone but I'll have more suggested amendments when I get to my computer.

Repeal Article 3, Section 3, so that the intent of Article 10, Section 1 is actually followed.

This is the reintroduction, correct? Yea, I have often wondered why 10:1 was the anti 3:3. It is also an incredible nuisance, at the beginning of each Senate term.

Yeah, exactly. I've never gone back and looked at the debate whenever 10:1 was added so I'm not entirely sure on the intention behind it, but it seems like it's saying "hey we shouldn't have to reintroduce bills" without actually repealing the relevant requirements.

I'm curious, is this presented to the signature like it's a normal bill, or is it different since we're just amending the OSPR?

It's a resolution, so Presidential approval is not required.

Also, since the final vote was unanimous, the 24 vote changing period is automatically waived Smiley

This bill has hereby passed the Senate.

I'll update the OSPR within the next few hours.
