Do you guys think Hagan should start using some of her $7 million to at least air some ads to combat this?

Exciting! When will the poll results be released?

Yes, define or get defined is always the cardinal rule. Anyone who doesn't might as well wear a KICK ME (OUT) placard in public.

Yes; for Rogue's reason. Whoever her opponent ends up being, her efforts to define them will be discounted if she's already been defined herself.

The Senate gods looked upon the Democrats. They said, "We shall bless thee for another cycle more."

Dammit, I just saw these on Maness' page Tongue

At least he doesn't say "with a supporter" or something like that. I got 8 likes on his Facebook page between these though!

I guess if this helps him in some off way going into the primary, that wouldn't be so bad Wink

A picture of me getting my phone out to ask him for a picture.

Well here we go with probably one of the most interesting races of the cycle. Clay Aiken has his intro video up.

There's no shortage of things to attack Ellmers on, but he's going for education and military issues while calling her out on the shutdown.

Also, Houston Barnes, a Democrat who was running here, has stepped aside and endorsed Clay.

Hopefully most people in the district receive Clay with open arms.

As I said on Facebook, I almost feel like writing him and telling him not to do this.

Also in NC news: conservatives wonder where the hell Tillis is during the debates. He's even starting to piss of establishment types:

Perhaps Clay Aiken best sums up Tillis here.

Yikes, big news day for these states.

Bobby Jindal's chairman of the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority, Garrett Graves is resigning. The talk is that he may be fixin' to get into CD6. A brief bio:

Rogue, if Dietzel weren't in, this really strikes me as your type of guy- a younger, conservative Jindalite.

I thought the Hayride was pro-Dietzel. Yet they talk about "heavy hitters." What, pray tell, is wrong with the current field in a ruby-red seat? If he does enter my guess is it hurts Dietzel and Felder, at least in the jungle.

Tillis: Dewhurst did the same thing. Fortunately Tillis doesn't face that kind of competition.

It really beat mes; maybe the Jindal folks don't see Dietzel as that good a candidate? They don't have a man in thus race, either.

What would help this guy is that he's worked in coastal issues and he's from Baton Rouge; between those two things he can pretty much appeal to voters everywhere in the district.

So the new frontrunner if he runs? If he resigned, sounds like he's running.

I don't think so; he'd need a few months to get to that point. If anything it becomes a three-way between him, Deitzel and Claitor and makes the runoff that much more unpredictable!

Landrieu could get something out of the AFP media blitz. AFP and Koch groups are lobbying against her (and the entire state delegation's) efforts to fix flood insurance. Though Cassidy isn't directly affiliated with AFP, it undercuts his credibility on this issue.

I don't understand, why the Satan Brothers are lobbying against flood insurance?

They were supporting another bill that Toomey introduced.

Hagan went on MSNBC with Alex Wagner. She's starting to go on the offensive against the NCGA and the Kochs, which I think she needs to do more.

One of the things Hagan needs to work on is that her answers often come across as pre-canned or dispassionate, IMO.

Roll Call looks at Scalise as one of the top Republicans in the House. Could the Speakership be in the cards one day?

Perhaps. Scalise probably isn't interested in Senate.

So who would be interested? I would love to see Mitch running for senate because I believe he might succeed if her sister is reelected and Vitter retires.
And please, not Jindal!!!
Maybe Scott Angell or Vance Mcallister?
