Politically, North Carolina is 8 years behind Virginia.

The problem is that Kay Hagan isn't Jim Webb.

The saving grace is that she is more tolerable than her pathetic opponents.

Had McCrory not run for governor in '12 and challenged her, she should would be in a lot of trouble.

Greg Brannon gets another endorsement. Ann Coulter is soliciting donations to his campaign.

Hagan is calling for an investigation of Obamacare's roll out.

I guess such a probe could be beneficial, but politically, this looks a bit desperate, IMO.

I'm sure Mary Landrieu has been called lots of stuff over her career, but I wonder if she's ever been called a crawfish:

Again, Erickson is right about that. All the red state Dems voted for it, they own it and are now panicky.

Tester, Mccaskill, and other red states democrats survived in 2012. I don't see why they wouldn't in 2014, problems will be fixed and republicans are so good to destroy their opportunities!

Also, in addition to the SCF, the Madison Porject is now backing Maness and ripping Cassidy:

SMOR will release a LA-Sen poll later this week. Maginnis thinks that now the atmosphere is too toxic and "she'd be a goner" if the election were held today.

Well, Baby Berger will get into the NC-06 race today with an 11:30 kickoff in Rockingham County; his website is already up.

This is his campaign logo:

LOL, not really; I was just waiting to post that picture  Grin

Actually, props to this guy on Twitter for giving a us preview of his actual signs:

This might just seem like a small semantic thing, but as the News & Observer points out, notice there's no 'Jr.' in his logo:

Who do you guys think would be the strongest candidate against Hagan? I know Brannon is up, but is he really? The NC GOP has a weak bench, and I think McCrory hadn't run for Governor and instead ran against Hagan (pre-Moral Mondays, etc.), she'd be in real trouble.

I had my list of five last December

1. Tom Fetzer - Former Raleigh Mayor and NC GOP Chair 2009-2010
2. Jim Pendergraff - Former Mecklenburg County Sheriff
3. Sue Myrick - Former US Congresswoman 1995-2013
4. Steve Troxler - State Agricultural Commissioner
5. Cherie Berry - Labor Commissioner

All five had their own advantages and ability to pull a certain tract that is Dem leaning or had won statewide.

With this crop I don't know and we have to see who emerges. Tillis is tied to the legislature and could be a Rick Berg whereas with Brannon you have that Joe Miller/O'Donnel risk. Pick your poison.

Ugh. If any Red State Democrat loses next year, it better be Hagan.

North Carolina is not a red (Atlas blue) state.

Ugh, why does everyone seem to think I have some extreme hatred for Hagan. I don't hate her. I simply am not a fan. Something about her rubs me the wrong way, and I was not impressed at all by her recent interview with the press on Obamacare; she seemed completely unprepared and desperate really. I happen to like Begich, Pryor, and especially Landrieu far more than Hagan, so my point was, if one of the so called Red (or Purple, I guess in the case of NC) state Democrats loses in 2014, I'd prefer for it to be Hagan, since I like the others more.

Because you called her out twice today.

She's about one of the least offensive Senators out there, IMO. I'm sure every Senator has had a bad interview at some point.

Mark Harris is trying to get Ted Cruz's endorsement. The two met at an event arranged by, of all people, Tony Perkins. Yikes.
