Tom Corbett and Sean Parnell: lost reelection in a heavily Republican year.

Junk politicians.

You guys remember the 2009 thread speculating whether Sean Parnell is going to be a future presidential contender?

Beside, Alaska politics is quite locally oriented and, hence, less influenced by nationwide waves.

Should be interesting to see how this cooperates with the Republican legislature, Alaska has never had an Independent Governor nor a Democratic Governor since 2002.

No, but had a third party Governor.

Get ready for four years of gridlock, Alaska.  You tossed out the decent, bipartisan Republican for an extreme, hackish "Independent."  You've made your bed, now lie in it.

What kind of hack do you think Bill Walker is, exactly? Please, elaborate.
Parnell was know for his ability to work with Democrats, something which upset the Tea Partiers.  He was Palin's lieutenant governor, and she still endorsed Walker over him.  Walker is nothing but a hyperpartisan, Tea Party Republican hack.

Why did the state Democrats support him then?
Because he was running against a Republican, duh.

Do you ever think before you post?

Alas! You ask for too much.
