Obama has a different ad on the 47% hitting Romney for his 14% tax rate and "attacking those who work for a living"

Weird that they're running these 47% ads in only eight states; Wisconsin is being left out.

A silly Obama jingle made by some random advertising site, but I caught this on Hardball earlier and thought it was cute: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mASeT454je0

Romney has a new 60 sec ad, his first direct to camera ad of the campaign. He tries to fix the 47% thing by vowing he really cares about people.

I wish they'd just let him go in front of the camera and speak without a script. However many takes they needed, it would've produced a better result than what they ultimately got with this ad. I do think Romney needs to be doing more stuff like this, but it's all for nothing if they can't execute it properly.

The last few words of this ad are what he needs to keep repeating ad infinitum. It needs to be the cornerstone down the final stretch: It keeps people who would never vote for Romney from voting altogether due to rational apathy, flips those who voted for Obama four years ago but are disappointed and open to the idea of dumping him, and leaves Democrats without a response other than vague nonsense about "forward," which has about as much substance as "hope and change." They can smear Romney all they want, twisting his words out of context, but everybody knows that we cannot have the next four years look like the past four years.

Obama is clinging to 8% unemployment, one trillion dollar deficits, and $4/gallon gasoline. We're supposed to look "forward" to more of this? Personally, I think Romney should say exactly that. Call it like it is: This administration is an abysmal failure that only knows how to play gutter politics.

Where the heck do you live?  California?  The national average never reached $4 this year and it's going down.  I could have bought some today at $3.369/gallon.  If Romney brings up $4/gallon gasoline, all it will do is show how out of touch he is with swing state voters.  The highest the average is any of the swing states is $3.866/gallon in Indiana. (That's if you consider Indiana a swing state; the highest of the standard swing states is lower which makes the $4 figure even less relevant.)

Use the qualifier "approaching" $4/gallon, which it probably is going to do soon given the situation with Iran. Or talk about $3.50/gallon. Either way, you get the gist.

Yup, that gas prices are lower now than they were when they reached their all-time high in 2008 when Bush was president.  I can see where unemployment or the deficits could have a beneficial effect for the Romney campaign, tho they haven't so far.  Bringing up the price of gas won't help Romney.  This is not 1980 and inflation is not an issue that can hurt Obama politically because what inflation there has been, has been negligible.

Interesting that Obama is running the 2 minute ad in 7 states, skipping NC and WI. Its expensive to run and I guess they see WI and NC as the two extremes of his lead or defecit.

Obama also has another 47% attack ad

I think of all the 47% ads it is the best one. Something about the way Romney emphasizes "entitled" really rubs the wrong way.

OFA cooked up a "Daisy" type knockout ad here...when Romney says "entitled", two veterans appear on the screen...that's chilling...

That ad works great in liberal fantasy land.

Everybody in the real world knows who Romney was and was not talking about. These same people are also not looking "forward" to four more years of 8% unemployment, millions more who have given up looking for work, trillion dollar deficits, falling disposable incomes, the potential expiration of the 2001 tax cuts FOR EVERYBODY, and $3.50/gallon gasoline. In the real world, you don't get an "A" grade for effort and smooth talk.

This late in the campaign, needing an ad where Romney proclaims he supports 100% of Americans is kind of a bad sign, similar to how Christine O'Donnell felt the need to proclaim that she wasn't a witch.

That ad is exceptionally political.

It is also very good. At least from my point of view.

That's a good ad but I think that was part of their Summer of Bain campaign from June and July. Im not sure Priorities is still running it. I think their latest buy focuses on the 47% with the "Doors" ad.
