I liked it. It's like a mixture of LA and NY to me. You?

I liked it when I visited. I spare everybody the tldr post that I wrote for the Bay Area. Traffic was awful, but big city. What do you expect? I like that they don't take themseves as seriously as a lot of big cities. And unlike New Yorkers and Texans, they're Americans first. If anybody is in the neighborhood, a side trip to Milwaukee is well worth it.

A great place that really recovered from its violent history over the past couple decades. Unfortunately, the violence seems to be returning.

Mega freedom city.  Like a cleaner, more orderly version of NYC.

I like Chicago, I've had a lot of fun there and there are quite a few nice areas and things to do.

Although with the possible exception of San Francisco, I do get the impression that there aren't a whole lot of differences between American cities.

There are a number of cities that are very distinct. Not as strongly Europe to be sure, but I don't think anybody is going to be confusing Pittsburgh and San Antonio. And what's the difference between Leipzig and Cologne really?
Kidding!!!

It was the city that brought us The Smashing Pumpkins, Disturbed, Rise Against, and Styx. How can you say that?

What about New Orleans?

Never been there unfortunately (though I have had the displeasure of passing through their airport), but I think I would like it.

Yeah if you'd taken two Western cities, particularly both from NRW, you would have been kinda right...but not with Cologne and Leipzig Smiley

HC, like all in the Bad Place.  But it seems a little worse than average to me.

Never actually been there (with the exception of their two airports), but I think I would like it there.  It wouldn't be as good as Seattle location-wise since the only outdoor venue is Lake Michigan (as opposed to the Cascades and Puget Sound), but in all other respects it would be great to live there.

I really like Chicago.  Had some great meals, saw some bad baseball and some excellent architecture. Too damn cold though.
