A month into my job and I just got a customer complaint about me....yay! I have been initiated.

A crazy tourist at my work FOLLOWED ME around the restaurant and started taking video and pictures of me today... I felt incredibly violated.

My boss told me not to seat any black people in a certain section because they are "bad tippers"

Two servers tricked me into kicking a party of 15 out after being there for a couple hours,  Got yelled at by my boss. Had to pay $50 out of pocket for the loss the restaurant suffered from my mistake

A woman tipped me $10 today because I talked to her when no one else would, she is a regular at my restaurant and is in a retirement home, she takes a bus and gets our senior discount, her husband died from dementia a couple of years back and her kids didn't want her at their houses so she was forced to move into a retirement home and she would get depressed from lack of visitors. Made me quite emotional.

We had the campaign office staff of my city's branch of Donald Trump's campaign come into our restaurant today and my boss just gave them the death stare.

Today is the first day of Ramadan, just broke the first fast. Fasting times here in Florida were  from 5:08 am to 8:22 pm today no food or drink

Are you allowed to smoke? That'd be my starvation survival tactic. Though, if "drink" applies to water, that'd ruin the point.

Nope, no smoking, and by food and drink, it means ALL food and drink, unless you medically need to consume water or food.

It's only gonna get longer from here, by the time of Eid (around July 5th-6th) fasting will end around 8:38 PM.

It will be a couple of years before Ramadan is in Winter again.

It's actually not as bad as you think it is Cathcon, we generally have a breakfast (suhoor) before the fajr (morning prayer time that signifies when fasting is to begin for the day) and I just drink a lot of water and some foods that stay in the stomach longer.

The hardest days are the last 5 days.

2 servers got fired today, one punched a female co-worker in the face and the other gave my boss an attitude for having to come in and started shouting at him.

Our bathroom flooded and caused massive flooding in that section and we had an older woman slip and fall and hurt her hip and we may be sued :/

Two things,

1.) I was about 5 minutes away from the Pulse shooting visiting family as it is Ramadan and I always go to Orlando to visit relatives on the weekends during Ramadan. I remember seeing cops speeding down every direction and at the time I didn't know what was going on.

2.) My car broke down and have no way of getting to work tomorrow :/

A TRUMP supporter came into my dad's work packing heat and saying he'll use it on any "rabid Muslim" and then started screaming at my dad and co-workers (the place is Muslim owned, joint Egyptian-Libyan owned) asking my father and his bosses where they were from and started screaming about how they're not true Americans because they weren't born in the U.S (this guy is from Jacksonville so redneck Florida) coming in to get parts for his truck. My dad's boss said "GET THE F*** OUT OF HERE YOU TRUMP!!!" LOL and the guy RAN like crazy back into his car and FLOORED it out of there.

yeah, the area is a bad part of town so cops are ALWAYS around there, cops said they'd keep an eye for the vehicle.
