Unfortunately those who put you on ignore still have to suffer through visible quotes. Plus, ignored posts are still there and tempted users can still expand. My solution is much more comprehensive!

The Economics board does seem pretty desolate. Wouldn't it be better to merge it with one or more of the General Discussion boards? Yes the topics don't mix but some of these boards don't have enough activity between them that would make any of the threads/discussions in each board any less noticeable if they were merged. Merging two or more low-activity boards might actually boost their activity more by drawing in more users who might want to respond to threads that they wouldn't have otherwise looked at, being in a board they usually have no interest in viewing.

I dunno. Just a thought.
