What if he lost the Governor's race in 2021?

Jack Ciaterelli is hyped up as a GOP rising star.
The perception of 2021 being a good year for Rs is much stronger.

Yeah. Maybe 2022 is a bit better but that is such a strange midterm that really anything could've happened. I don't see Jack being picked as a VP candidate, maybe a Trump cabinet slot if he feels he can't win a second term, but he likely backs DeSantis or Haley in the primary and earns Trump ire because of it.

It's possible he'd be so hyped.  At that stage of his career, conservatives were begging Chris Christie to run.

Even then, its unlikely that he does. In 2012, there was no real figure like DeSantis for the GOP to rally around if the guy they backed wasn't Trump. I could maybe see the case for Romney but even then, he didn't have the same culture warrior power as DeSantis. Jack would be like Youngkin, consider a bid but ultimately stay out and instead endorse DeSantis or Haley before losing a second term in 25.

In an alternative Atlas:

Reasons why Trump can win Nj in 1974

Random97 (R-CT): .... Donīt forget Trump gains with latinos. He can win Passaic!!!

Random98 (D-MD): Surely, he will win dominicans. How many threads of MAGA New Jersey have appeared? 50?
