the question is not if this is "comedy" but that they thought there was SOMETHING with those 2 politicans which wasn't alright....and they wanted to prevent this chat from leaking and denied it happened.

not cause they know something special.... or whatever...but cause even the republican leadership was sure, trump and rohrabacher were potentially corrupt and crazy.

When's the last time you made a joke and your friend responded by swearing you to secrecy?

Why did Ryan change his story... originally denying it happened, until told it was a tape?

Why "no leaks"?

Person A: [Talks sh#t about boss]
Person B: Haha, we better make sure this sh#t stays in the room.

By far the most worrying part of this is the sophomoric verbal abilities of our elected representatives. These clods write laws!?

Because, as you guys demonstrate through your speculation, it looks bad.

Possibly out of fear of what would happen, such as this, should it make its way to the press. The idea of White House leaks seems to be a common one in this administration, and these men obviously had good reason to not feel safe either.

Nah.

They let the lobbyists and staffers (if there's a difference) do that.

I mean, obviously; it's a matter of facial absurdity.

The same Kevin McCarthy who admitted on live TV that the Benghazi hearings were nothing but witch hunts meant solely to bring down Hillary's poll numbers? Sad!

Republicans really are a special kind of stupid.

"GOP leadership sources worry Evan McMullin had a tape on while he sat silently through their confidential meetings."
